Description

Up for auction is a 1964 Lincoln Continental. This is a 33,000 original mile, 100% complete running/driving vehicle that will be perfect for a restoration project. All exterior trim is removed and is in excellent condition. A few pieces may need dents tapped out and just about all the chrome will polish up without needing rechroming. Car has minimal rust for a 50 year old car. Worst spot is a 1/2" by 1-1/2" hole in between the trunk and back driver door. Some additional metalwork will need to be done around the wheel arches, but nothing extreme requiring donor panels. Floors and frame are solid. I have a list of replaced parts that I installed to get the car road worthy. New tires, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, air filter, fuel filter, rebuilt Carter carburetor, replaced power steering line, hi-beam switch, turn signal switch, neutral safety switch and I also bought upper/lower radiator hoses, new thermostat w/ gasket, new trunk seal and window scraper seals not installed on the car but will be included. All 8-way power adjustments on the front bench seat work as well as all 6 windows and antenna, but the window switches will need rebuilding as well as the amp/temp gauges.
Issues that I know of are the headlights only come on with the high beams. I noticed that the high beam harness for the floor switch was a little warm one day, so it seems that it could be a shorting issue. Transmission will leak fluid out of the front input shaft only when warm and driven in reverse. The car may also need a donor trunk lid from the rusted hole letting water in, condensating on the backside of the trunk lid.
Car is auctioned as-is, so please ask any questions you may have before bidding.
